Andre Ellis, more popularly known as Nature, is a free-spirited individual and positive songwriter who delivers his music with great passion. He hails from the beautiful parish of St. James in Jamaica and is known for singles such as “Wasting Time”, “World Peace”and ‘Love You’. Nature has been involved in music since he was nine years old. The singer has received various accolades for his music including the best singer award at the Eastern Awards in 2008 and a trophy for his singing and songwriting in a competition put on in St James by Danger Zone in 2002. With a name that signifies his love for the environment, Nature started getting serious about his career in 2002. Since then, he has recorded with Big Ship, King Jammy’ s, Truckback Records and Ricardo Gardener’s Heart of Love Music label.

Nature also has a number of other songs out such as “Cry Out”, “Most High God’ and “Dirty Closet’, which was featured in the popular roots play, Talk Done, Time For Action. Nature’s move from St James to St Andrew has helped to propel his career over the last few years, racking up gigs at Sting, GT Extravaganza, Reggae Sumfest, Champions In Action and island Explosion to name a few.

On the strength of these singles, Nature has been touring extensively; he did three month stints in Europe where he did shows in France, Italy, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. His most recent tour took himto Australia where hedid a number of shows.

Representing a new generation of reggae that keeps in the tradition of crooners who came  before and inspire him, including Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond and Toots Hibbert, Nature continues to bring a fresh voice to the genre.

Nature, now signed to powerhouse label Down Sound Records (DSR), has been reaping success both locally and internationally with his recently released ‘Life’s Journey’ Album. Nature has been featured on fantastic events to promote the ‘Life’s Journey’ project; in Jamaica he performed at the Rebel Salute festival,  he also performed at the Reggae on the Mountain and Reggae on the River Festivals in the US and in the UK he has even had the opportunity to open for the world renowned Ali Campbell’s UB40 on Tour at the Kew Music Festival in London.

The ‘Life Journey’ album project features the hit single ‘Love you’ that has now been released by popular US Based label Ultra Music and their Sony Records affiliate. Ultra Music is owned by British-born Patrick Moxey and Sony Music .   Patrick was instrumental in signing Beenie Man to Virgin Records and Billboard Chart topping artiste OMI to Ultra.

Ultra Music’s other success stories include house music producers and DJs Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Pitbull, and the Who’s Who of EDM . With this new distribution and production deal with Ultra Music/ Sony Records, Nature is poised to impact  the Reggae Pop market in 2016.
